Job Summary
The Manager, Supply Chain Planning leads and develops a team of Demand and Supply planners, with overall responsibility for the Locks & Plumbing product line inventories. Provides strategic direction on all Locks product line Supply Chain initiatives to meet company revenue, profitability, and cash flow objectives.
(a) Provide leadership to direct reports in the execution of work plans and long and short-term goals. Implement department level infrastructure and changes to supporting processes and systems. Ensure solutions to department level challenges are implemented. Set, implement and complete department goals
(b) Manage the process of the creation of SKU-level demand plans using statistical and event-driven forecasting method. Manage communication with Vendors to resolve supply issues within an integrated multi-site manufacturing network.
(c) Lead Canadian Monthly S&OP process while working collaboratively with other cross functional team leaders
(d) Manage multi-millions Dollars in inventory, optimizing SKU-level stocks to meet customer service goals while minimizing expediting costs, cash requirements, and obsolescence exposure. Direct the rework and reuse of materials to minimize spend on additional inventory and reduce obsolescence.
(e) Direct the development of monthly and yearly inventory plans as required; including inventory position plans, purchase plans, phase-out and exit plans.
(f) Manage relationships and communication paths with Sales, Marketing, and New Product Development teams in Canada and the US to continually improve execution on product launches, transitions, and all other events impacting the sell-in or the sell-through of inventory to customers or consumers.
(g) Direct the development and implementation of new processes to improve performance of The AAAR Supply Chain.
(h) Develop recommendations for capital, operating and staffing budgets. Collaborate with other leaders in the development of a coordinated budget recommendation for Director approval. Provide fiscal oversight of allocated resources, assets and expenses. Make necessary decisions to adjust for variations in projected budget income caused by fluctuating volumes and other external factors.

a) Design optimal team structure and attract and retain top talent to deliver targeted results.
b) Lead direct reports in the execution of strategies and long-range goals.
c) Provide leadership to direct reports in the execution of goal setting and performance management.
d) Provide assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving employee work performance problems to improve employee knowledge, skills and overall performance.
e) Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels.
Education and Experience
a) University Degree in Supply Chain, Operations or other related discipline.
b) APICS certification or in process.
c) 8-10 years’ experience in supply chain management.
Required Qualifications:
a) Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional leadership, mentoring, motivation and proactive problem resolution to a team, while balancing customer expectations and company interests.
b) Extensive knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, forecast models, Supply Planning, MRP, inventory strategies, and Sales and Operations Planning.
c) Advance knowledge of SAP or other tier 1 ERP system, and advanced planning solutions including JDA or IBP .
d) Experience within the Building Products/CPG industry
e) Strong project management experience.
f) Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with an ability to manage conflict, influence without authority, and solve complex problems.
g) Demonstrated ability to successfully interact in a team-based environment and work well cross functionally.
h) Proven leader in ability to motivate co-workers and provide a positive attitude in all business approaches and interpersonal interaction.
i) Proficiency in MS Office Software
j) Strong commitment to teamwork.
k) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
l) Continuously striving for excellence and never give up attitude
Preferred Qualifications
a) B.S In engineering / Operations / Supply Chain Management / Business
b) ASSA ABLOY Americas Residential product knowledge advantageous
c) Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
d) Exposure to big box retail and wholesale businesses
Environmental Conditions
Typical office environment. Hybrid office with expectations to be in the office 3 days per week.
